G̈ifêvî-qino Dêtîkè (/g̃iˈfɘvɪ/ /ˈqino/ [violent] [chef; cook]) is a subtropical Town located in the Iletsksmama Zone of the Union of Engineers.

The name G̈ifêvî-qino Dêtîkè is derived from the Iron Elvish language, as G̈ifêvî-qino Dêtîkè was founded by Caerium Trgfêm, who was culturaly Iron Elven.

Climate

G̈ifêvî-qino Dêtîkè was founded durring the early 16th century in summer of the year 1506, by Caerium Trgfêm. The establishment of G̈ifêvî-qino Dêtîkè suffered from several major issues, resulting in the need to develop many solutions to basic problems. Problems such as a lack of fresh water, logistical support, poor quality tools, and the odd monster or two. Howeaver, these were overcome in time.

G̈ifêvî-qino Dêtîkè was built using the conventions of Iron Elven durring the early 16th century. Naturaly, all settlmentss have their own look to them, and G̈ifêvî-qino Dêtîkè is no diffrent. The town's buildings feature plaster covered brick construction taking the shape of large simple gemometric shapes which ate then embelished with decorative features, but retain their simple shapes in spite of the added features such as pillars, faccaddes, and covered walkways. The blocky nature gives a general impression of extreem age, as if each structure has existed since time immemorial.

G̈ifêvî-qino Dêtîkè is buildings are located arround a single broad cobblestone mainstreet which forms a clockwise spiral to give the town a over all circular shape. The town emploies a series of defencive earthworks, spikes, and fences to provide some protection against wild beasts and smaller groups of intelegent foes. Unfortuantly, these minimaly adiquite are in extreem disrepair, so much so that one cannot tell if they are decaying from a lack of mantance or damage incured.

A look around G̈ifêvî-qino Dêtîkè gives you an uneasy feeling. Everything is just a little too worn down, a little too dirty, or both. No one makes eye contact. Kids play quietly, but happily. Occasionally a passerby glances at you out of the corner of their eye, staring just long enough for it to be uncomfortable. A second look around G̈ifêvî-qino Dêtîkè makes it abundantly clear the town suffered something horrible some time ago. It's as if the town itself is depressed. Smiles are few, cheer is nowhere to be had.

Cultural Notes

G̈ifêvî-qino Dêtîkè's garrison was built using a different architectural style from the rest of the town. The style used is characterized by towering round arches, massive stone and brickwork, small windows, thick walls, and a propensity for housing art and sculpture depicting mythological scenes. The building's general shape would be a clever and ascetic combination of geometric shapes, which would be blended together by joining elements. The style's decorative features were largely internal rather than external and incorporated semicircular arches for windows, doors, and arcades; barrel or groin vaults to support the roof of the nave; massive piers and walls, with few windows, to contain the outward thrust of the vaults; side aisles with galleries above them..
